Costa Rica's central Pacific coast is a veritable sportfishing mecca. If you have always dreamed of reeling in that monster catch, this is the place!
| It is the most popular form of fishing we offer, it is a 25-35 miles ride from La Marina in Los Suenos Resort, Herradura Beach. In the map above you can see the offshore fishing grounds marked. It can be up to 6000ft Deep. There are some volcanoes which produce minerals that are food for small fish. This allows big fish to go eat there. You can catch: Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sail Fish, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo. |
| It is practiced nearby the shore, but at a lower depth reaching 600ft. Here you have: Tile Fish, Grouper, Red Snapper, Scorpion Fish, Trigger Fish, Cubera Snapper. You can combine Offshore with Bottom Fishing, let the receptionist know if you want to combine both. |
| This is fishing along the coast, going 7 miles up or down depending on what the customer is looking for and the reports from previous days. It is practiced in small boats due to the weight as larger boats could damage the sea floor. Inshore fishing allows you to catch: Rooster Fish, Cubera Snapper, Jacks, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda and Seabass. |
